I don't read blogs.  I don't write blogs.  Until now.

Why you ask? Maybe it's because of my great-grandfather.  He died in 1899 at the age of 29.  And, because of his cousin, Hattie.  She is also my cousin; I guess she is a great-cousin.  They wrote letters back in the 1890s.  Fascinating reading if you can interpret the way they wrote.  For instance, it was Dear cousin.  Not "Dear Hattie".  I enjoyed reading the handful of letters that I have recently discovered doing the genealogy of my family. Maybe it's because I used to write letters to my great-grandmother (other side of the family) when I was growing up - I kind of miss that.  And, while I have no dreams of any future generations being that interested in what I write (maybe no one of this generation wants to read it either), I think I will still do it.  Now, if I can just figure out how to use blogger.
